District Industries and Commerce Centre (DI and CC), formerly Known as District Industries Centre (DIC) Was created during the regime of JANATA GOVERNMENT
in the country in order to pave the way for growth and development in the industrial sector .The main thrust of development was the economic upliftment of
people from grass-root level through industrial activities which were categorized as village and small scale industries . And now the earlier planning have changed depending on the investment.
Pattern of industries are categorized as Micro , small and medium enterprises ,with the creation of DICs the responsibility for implementation of various government schemes and policies were
lying on them and have to play a vital role in this vibrant sector . Now known as DICC is not only an implementing agency but it acts in the field of development as guiding factor. Its main
objectives at the district level are to explore the potentiality for growth and identification of viable industries. To motivate the educated youths and creation of entrepreneurship amongst them
are considered to be important objectives of the department. A part from those, preparation of schemes and project, registration of industrial units, forwarding of loan applications to banks for
financial assistance, co-ordinate with banks in the matter of sanction, disbursement and recovery of loan and co-relation with different development departments of the districts are noteworthy.
Implementation of various departmental schemes along with evaluation and monitoring is a core objective of the department. In this way D.I.& C.C has to perform multifarious works on the way of
department of the district and in the industrial scenario of the state.
