PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT (ROADS)..

1.PMGSY : The major achievement of the PWD (Roads) Department are the construction of 6 (Six) nos. of roads under PMGSY. The total monetary involvement in the construction of roads are Rs. 793.97 lakhs. The name of the roads, schematic allotments and the progress of work are as follows :

1. package no -0901- Algapur -Mohanpur Rd ( 3.70 KM), sanctioned amount- 90.84 (L)

&North narainpur ferryghat to north narainpur .(3.85 KM),sanctioned amount-95.21 (L)

2. package no -0902- Umednagar to rajeswarpur, Pt-v (5.86KM),sanctioned amount 152.10 (L)

3. Package No. 0903

(a) Sudarsanpur Pt.-III to Gaglacherra T.E. (2.50 K.M.), Sanctioned amount - 65.64 Lakhs.

(b) Lalacherra to Nunaikhal T.E. (3.15 K.M.) , Sanctioned amount - 83.18 Lakhs.

4. Package No. -0904- (a) Nunaikhal T.E. to Rupacherra T.E.(4.15 K.M.), Sanctioned amount - 11.3 Lakhs.

5. Package No.- 0901-

(a) Chandipur-Narainpur Pakhicherra Road (2.860 K.M.), Sanctioned amount - 1.0560 Lakhs.

(b) Samarikona to Gudamghat Ferryghat (2.284 K.M.), Sanctioned amount - 88.40 Lakhs.

2. The PWD(Roads) Department Hailakandi has also constructed RCC Bridge over Dhaleswari Hailakandi Hurtbartganj Bazar (Bridge No. 1/1) and completed the bridge in record time. The bridge was most essential for the commuters of the town areas. The bridge was constructed under MPLAD fund. Total expenditure was Rs. 36.50 Lakhs.

3. Another 2(two) RCC bridge are being constructed at Karicherra & Baldabaldi. Total fund involvement Rs. 15 Lakhs.

4. PWD(R) NH Division: construction of National Highway No. 154, Dhaleswari-Bhairavi is in progress.

P.W.D.(BUILDING)

P.W.D.(Building) department has constructed a 3 (three) stories Educational Complex at Hailakandi. The newly constructed Education Complex has brought the various district level education department in one complex. The building was constructed under MPLAD fund at a cost of Rs. 40 Lakhs.
