Public Health Engineering Department is entrusted to provide clear drinking water to the rural people of the district. Out of the comprehensive activities to achieve the goal, some of the the major activities of the department during the financial year 2002-2003 is as follows.

Till date 22 nos. of W.S.S. are constructed at a cost of 1.86 crores, 327 nos. of Tara Pumps are installed at a cost of Rs. 23 lacs, 10 nos. of Ring Well was also constructed at a cost of Rs. 1 lac.
