FLOOD CONTROL.

        The major achievement of the Flood Control department are construction of 2(two) nos. of bund at river Katakhal. Total fund involvement is Rs. 316.13 Lakhs.

Protection of Katlicherra Bazar from the erosion of rive Katakhal. Total fund sanction Rs. 5.04 Crores. The work was started in March,2002. The progress of work is 70% till date. The salient feature of the schemes are as follows.

a) Projected length     = 470 M.

b) Toe sausage           = 470 M.

c) Apron width            = 13 M from L.W.L.

d) Peripherial cage      =  3 M. (2 rows 2 layer)

e) Loose boulder dumping = 10 M. width thickness 0.9 M.

f) Bank pitching with boulder. = 470 M. length & 75 M. width.
